Twenty-five years ago the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law, making life better and more equal for people with disabilities. EOCIL celebrates that victory with an ADA Celebration Day.
10:00–10:15 Gather at the Ontario Lions Park, under the picnic shelter by the pool for ADA Awareness March.
10:15-10:45 March around Lions Park to the front of the WWII Memorial for Mayor’s Address.
10:45-11:00 Return to Lions Park picnic shelter
11:00-1:00 Popcorn, Snow Cones, Cold Water, Accessibility Activities, Networking, & enjoying a “Community Day in the Park” social.

ADA 25th Anniversary Celebration (main event)
Sunday, July 26, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
IRCO (Immigrant & Refugee Community Organization), 10301 NE Glisan St.
The event theme is “Sharing our Histories, Dreaming our Future.” Please join us as we look at the beginning of the Disability Rights movement, celebrate our successes, and reflect on the road ahead.
The event will feature members of the disability community invited to share their stories. (Read more about the storytellers here.)
This will be a universally accessible event. ASL interpretation, closed captioning, and audio descriptions will be provided.
There will be three shuttle companies providing services on Sunday, July 26th from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Gateway TriMet stop.
