Representative Greg Walden, who represents eastern Oregon and the southern I-5 corridor, will hold six town halls next week. The town halls will take place in The Dalles, Hood River, Prineville, Bend, Grants Pass, and Medford.
Representative Walden is leading efforts to repeal and replace the ACA. The proposed cuts to Medicaid in the repeal and replace legislation could devastate the program. If you are concerned about cuts to Medicaid, please attend a town hall and let Representative Walden know what you think. For more, see our Save Medicaid coverage and stories. Dates and times are posted below.
Second District residents can also sign up for telephone town hall meetings through Walden’s website. “These are especially important for those who have difficulty with transportation. They give people whose voice might not otherwise be heard a chance to weigh in on public policy,” Walden said.
Representative Suzanne Bonamici, who represents much of northwest Oregon, is holding four town halls in Warrenton, Scappoose, Sherwood, and Portland in the next month. Representative Peter Defazio, who represents the central I-5 corridor and the southern coast, is holding five town halls in Florence, Coos Bay, Gold Beach, Cave Junction, and Grants Pass next week.
