Dean has been a member of the Board of Directors of Disability Rights Oregon since 2014.
He has extensive experience developing and conducting trainings for large and small scale organizations to promote the full inclusion of people with disabilities. He has served as an inclusion consultant for Basic Rights Oregon, helping the organization to develop diversity inclusion training and strategy. He’s also worked as a disability trainer and community outreach specialist for OHSU.
In that role, he helped to develop and conduct training for the OHSU community on issues related to hiring, employing, educating, and serving people with disabilities and protected veterans, represented OHSU in conducting community outreach to diverse populations, particularly people with disabilities and protected veterans, and served on internal and external boards and committees.
Dean has a Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University. He is a resident of North Portland.
