Parental rights for parents with intellectual disabilities

The Oregonian’s Samantha Swindler was one of the only journalists covering the case of Amy Fabbrini and Eric Ziegler, a couple in Central Oregon with low IQs that just won a four-year legal fight to get custody of their two sons. We talk to Swindler about the story and to Bob Joondeph with Disability Rights Oregon about how common the couple’s story is and the specific changes to the system that advocates would like to see.
