Isaac Stokka
Paralegal
Isaac Stokka works as a Paralegal on the Guardianship Representation program where Isaac investigates on behalf of people objecting to guardianhip.
From 2018 to 2023, Isaac worked as a certified Community Work Incentives Coordinator (CWIC) in Disability Rights Oregon’s Plan for Work program. As part of his continuing education he has completed a number of work incentives and other CWIC-related courses offered by Virginia Commonwealth University, as well as local and state agencies. Previously, Isaac also worked as Compliance Analyst in the Strengthening Protections for Social Security Beneficiaries (SPSSB) program at Disability Rights Oregon.
Isaac has worked with individuals with disabilities in various capacities, beginning in 2014 as a Unit Director at the Eau Claire Academy, an inpatient treatment facility for youth with mental health issues in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. After relocating to Portland, OR he began working at the Edwards Center as an Employment Specialist, coordinating work crews at various job sites in the community and assisting clients in developing the skills necessary to be fully employed. Here he got to see first-hand the positive impact employment can have in people’s lives. His next step was working as a Program Facilitator at Full Life, a program supporting people with developmental disabilities through enriching arts, educational, recreational, and vocational services. Finally, after a year spent traveling and working as an English Educator and High School Mentor, he returned to Portland, OR and was pleased to be hired as a CWIC at Disability Rights Oregon’s Plan for Work program. Here, he is able to use skills developed through his previous experiences and pursue his passion of assisting people with disabilities in the path to employment.
