Community Work Incentives Coordinator

Janell joined Disability Rights Oregon as a Community Work Incentives Coordinator for the Work Incentives Planning and Assistance program in December 2022.

Janell’s journey in disability advocacy began at an early age, as a sibling of a person with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Now, as a mother to a son with autism, her disability advocacy continues. Informed by her family experience and driven by a passion for advocacy, Janell was an Educational Paraeducator for eleven years. She worked directly with people with disabilities building close relationships with families and supporting them by providing resources and suggestions. Janell strongly believes each child with a disability deserves quality services.

Outside of work, Janell enjoys traveling with her husband and visiting her children and grandchildren as much as possible.
