Dave Boyer

Managing Attorney

Dave Boyer joined Disability Rights Oregon in October 2022. As Managing Attorney, Dave leads DRO’s work under the Mental Health Rights Project and the Multnomah Civil Commitment Program.

Dave worked within the Protection and Advocacy system prior to joining DRO — most recently as the Legal Director at Disability Rights Rhode Island.

Prior to that, as a Managing Attorney at the National Disability Rights Network, and before that as the Director of Investigations and Staff Attorney at Disability Rights Florida. Dave was a practicing psychologist in the U.S. Army for ten years and has degrees from Ohio State, the Ohio State University, and Florida State.
