Marc Nethercote

Program Manager

Marc Nethercote is the Program Manager of the Strengthening Protections for Social Security Beneficiaries (SPSSB) Program. This program helps conduct onsite reviews of individual and organizational Representative Payees. It also serves people who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and/or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits.

Prior to joining Disability Rights Oregon, Marc worked for nearly a decade supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in both Illinois and Oregon. Most recently, Marc worked with ALSO, Inc. as their Community Career Advisor assisting adults with disabilities find gainful and integrated employment opportunities within their community.  

Marc is also a Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP). In 2021, the Oregon State Rehabilitation Council and Vocational Rehabilitation program presented him with the “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access Award” for his partnership in enhancing the lives of Oregonians with disabilities.
